NBC Securities is excited to announce its partnership with The Salvation Army’s Orlando Area Command for a special collaboration just in time for the holidays. The firm wanted to create a bigger impact this year and make a bold statement along with contributing to a good cause for the community of Orlando, Florida. Today in the U.S., The Salvation Army assists more than four-and-a-half million people during the Thanksgiving and Christmas time periods.

NBC Securities Director of Research, Darren Hinshaw partnered with The Salvation Army Orlando branch’s Leaon Kirkpatrick and Debi Jones to co-sponsor the world’s largest Salvation Army Kettle and as a member of local, Valencia College’s Foundation Board, Hinshaw has also partnered with the college to execute the welding of the kettle. The college will also be producing all the social media content during the welding process.

The Christmas Kettle also known as the Red Kettle is The Salvation Army’s most famous street campaign started in 1891 by Salvation Army Captain Joseph McFee that inspires passersby to place donations inside the trademark red kettles. This NBC Securities kettle will be unveiled to the public on November 4th in Orlando at a Charter Communication event with an expected 150,000 people in attendance and will live at the home of Orlando’s Major League Soccer team, The Orlando City.
